A weak magnetic storm of level G1 is observed
The geomagnetic event began around midnight with moderate disturbances and reached storm levels about 3 hours ago. The reason for the phenomenon is not a mystery - it is on the bottom graph: there is a rapid increase in the speed of the solar wind due to the influence of the coronal hole. The hole itself is also clearly visible in the photographs - as recently it often appears to be of some unusual shape.
In general, everything that is happening was predicted yesterday. If we believe this forecast, then now is approximately the peak, it will not grow higher.
June is progressing according to a fairly moderate schedule so far. During the month there were 4 days with magnetic storms. The peaks of the 21st century are still far away.
