Current geomagnetic conditions
As of 8:00 PM Moscow time, space tracking equipment has not registered the arrival of two clouds of plasma to Earth, the ejection of which from the Sun was observed after two strong flares that occurred in the second half of November 5 and on the night of November 6.
Magnetic storms predicted for Friday have begun
Today is expected to be one of the most challenging, and likely the most challenging, geomagnetic day of the year. The Earth is expected to simultaneously enter the zone of a large coronal hole and endure the arrival of two plasma clouds ejected by the large solar flares that occurred two days ago.
The recalculation of the movement model has kept the forecast for the storm's strength in force.
A numerical recalculation of the plasma emission movement carried out in the middle of the day only slightly adjusted their trajectory and did not change the geomagnetic forecast for tomorrow.
