A huge smiley face appeared on the Sun

A huge smiley face, 1.5 million kilometers across, is the Sun. The star's eyes are two large active regions (each approximately 10 times larger than Earth), and the "smile" is formed by a gigantic prominence about half a million kilometers across. The smiley face is more kind than evil, although not without skepticism.

The Sun is currently looking directly at Earth. All the other nearby planets—Venus, Mercury, and Mars—are currently on the opposite side.
