There is noticeable activity on the Sun.

Solar prominence eruptions on April 21, 2026

A star that had been completely devoid of energy for the past two weeks has suddenly begun to revive slightly. This morning, a fairly large double prominence burst was detected, occurring simultaneously at the north and south poles of the Sun. It's always impressive to see two solar regions separated by about 2 million kilometers somehow mysteriously synchronize their activity with minute-by-minute precision. At the same time, the background X-ray level has roughly doubled, returning to the "C" level from which it had dropped back in early April.

Visually, the cause of this increase is not yet readily apparent. Apparently, the main energy burst is occurring at the eastern (left) edge of the Sun, but the details are still difficult to discern. It seems likely that within 24 hours, the activity will either calm down, at which point the question of the cause will become irrelevant, or, conversely, it will increase to a level where it will be possible to understand the situation without any further effort.
