Two large active centers will be aimed at Earth throughout the first half of the week.

Sun from June 25 to June 29, 2026

We are publishing a video showing changes on the Sun over the past four days, from June 25 to June 29, 2026. Two interesting moments can be found. The first is the appearance, right before our eyes, of a second active region north of the equator. The second is the spectacular disintegration of a sunspot in the center of the Sun in the first half of the video. A monolithic structure larger than the planet Jupiter is breaking into pieces and "sinking" into the solar ocean.

Two major active centers are currently facing Earth, the lower of which remains the largest this year. Almost any X-level solar flare in the next two to three days will result in a frontal impact on Earth. For now, both regions are silent.
