Today is the full moon - the Strawberry Moon

Strawberry Moon
Strawberry Moon

Today is the first of three summer full moons, which are so pleasant to observe on a warm evening or night, although visually they are, of course, not as beautiful as the winter ones. In winter, the moon is huge (supermoons) and hangs directly overhead, high in the sky, overwhelming in its size. In summer, however, the moons are small (today, in fact, seems to be a micromoon—the smallest moon of the year) and never rise very high—always visible somewhere just above the horizon.

But the name is beautiful.

Best visibility will be from about 11 PM to 1 PM local time. Look in the south.

Send photos in the comments on the channel. We'll see how strawberry-colored it is, and at the same time, we'll see once again how vast our country is. So many places and cities in it. And only one moon for everyone.
