The sun has fallen into summer hibernation

Solar activity is visibly entering its traditional summer hibernation, this time accompanied by the general decline of the solar cycle. The star is rather dull, nothing to see. Flare activity is slightly elevated, but the only thing keeping it going is sunspot group 4465, which, despite its very small size (180 units), has managed to achieve a near-high magnetic complexity class, Beta-Gamma, and is working hard to maintain it. Once it runs out of energy (and at such a size, this won't be long), all solar activity parameters will drop to zero.

There are also a couple of large solar prominences, and if they break off, you can watch more beautiful videos, but they are not dangerous for Earth.

Geomagnetic activity is exceptionally low. The monthly forecast predicts all 30 sunny days. It's unlikely that this will happen—something will happen, as always, but what it will be and when is currently unclear. For now, we're resting.
